Dinner Show
I've
never had a better time. Hilarious show, amazing food and wonderful
service. There is a variety of shows throughout the year at this theatre
so there is always something new and exciting to experience. I had a
terrific time at this restaurant and am going back next week. This was
without a doubt one of the best nights of my life!
The
show is pretty good but the night we came it seemed as though we got the
"under study" group. Some of the singers were God awful while
others were great. How there could be such a mix up of talented performers
and non-talented I don't know. Being a drama coach myself I could hardly
stand some of the "scenes" with the non-talented
"actors". I'm sure regular audiences won't mind but... eesh. All
around it was an alright show that started late and ended quite late. They
say 9pm but this one didn't end until about 9:30. The food was pretty
good, the soup seemed a little burnt but I didn't mind. The chicken and
fish were good and the beef was alright. The potatoes were weak and the
veg had TOO MUCH butter on them. Our server was slow and took quite awhile
to come to our table at the beginning. She ended up forgetting another
persons drink twice during the night and the bartender had to bring them
over. Those people seemed quite upset. They also have bus girls who go
around and clean up your plates and utensils and these people seemed like
hard workers. Even more so then our server. The tips are shared amongst
the bartender, bussing staff and performers but not the kitchen staff.
That doesn't seem to be fair since they're probably there longer and do
twice as much work. Plus they have the more hazardous job (my wife is a
chef so she was confused by the kitchen not receiving tips). All in all
the food was good, the show was ok and the service was decent. Not really
worth the $60 plus taxes but it was something else.
This was a great dinner and theatre show. The acting of the staff was a little over the top, but their singing was wonderful! Never knew there were so many American things that are truly Canadian. I also liked the audience participation.
The food was okay, could have done without the split pea soup. I also didn't appreciate that the only beverages offered with the meal were hot tea, coffee and water.
The food was average. We were not dissapointed but not thrilled either. I felt a little queasy about passing other peoples dirty plates down the table to the wait staff, but I do understand that it was all part of the "family feel".
I would definitley reccomend this place to visitors of the area if they would like to get a unique perspective of the history of Canada.
Had dinner an show with my wife at the O Canada Eh? Dinner Show on Lundy Lane in Niagara Falls, Ontario. You'll need a car, the large log cabin theatre (or so it seems) is a few miles from the Niagara Falls tourist area.
The meal and the show are intertwined, and the theatre is rich with performances of native Canadians singing the music of Canada in traditional costumes and songs. The performers also serve your food-somewhat unique. You'll feel more like you're in the Canadian Rockies. This native Canadian show is
great for couples and families and tour buses. What's best about O Canada Eh? is that is gives you a true feel for the Canadian experience-what it's like to be in Canada and be Canadian-as one might normally expect. Must must see.
This is a top attractive, great atmosphere, very Canadian,
great food, great music, great acting, great service and 'feel at home' welcome-an extremely popular local Canadian tradition.
Highly recommended. show rated 'G'. Bring the whole family.
One of Niagara Falls best kept secrets is this wonderful dinner show and the performers who make it so special.
