Niagara Floral Showhouse (former Niagara Greenhouse)

Location: 7145 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, just ½ mile south of the Canadian Falls.

 A spacious Visitor Reception Centre and Garden Shop are attached to the front of the floral show houses. The structure of glass, wood and stone, covered 522 m2 (5,625 sq. ft.), with the central glass dome rising to 12.2 m (40 ft) permitting the growing of full size palms and other tropical plants.
The Visitor Centre boasts a beautiful seasonal orchid display with a backdrop of water and tropical plants. Tropical planting are used in combination with all of the floral shows. In adddition to the seasonal shows much effort is put into the design and maintance of the tropical plant collections. The orchid collection is comprised of over 400 plants which prowide a year round floral exibit. Trapical birds are free flying throughout all the display houses.

The Floral Show Houses are open year-round featuring eight spectacular exhibition quality floral displays. Each display is uniquely designed in theme using plants that reflect the changing seasons throughout the year. In addition, fine collection of orchids, succulents and tropical plant species can be seen throughout the year. Also enjoy over 70 beautiful free-flying tropical songbirds. Come ofter and explore a paradise rich in colour and fragrance.

Spring show (Mid January to Easter)
Featuring - Primula, Calceolaria, Cyclamen, Cineraria, Schizanthus, Forced Spring Bulbs, Shrubs.

Easter display (Easter weekend, lasting 2-3 weeks)
Featuring - Easter lilies, Schizanthus, Forced Spring Bulbs.

Hydrangea Show (May)
Featuring - Hydrangeas, Delphiniums, Foxgloves.

Regal Geranium Show (June)
Featuring - Regal Geraniums, Fuchsia, Caladiums.

Summer Show (July to Mid September)
Featuring - Geraniums, Coleus, Mixed Annuals, Tropicals.

Reiger Begonia Show (Mid September, October)
Featuring - Reiger Begonias, Coleus.

Chrysanthemum Show (November)
Featuring - Cascade, Exhibition and Bush Chrysanthemums

Christmas Show (December)
Featuring - Poinsettias, Cyclamen, Azaleas, Schizanthus, Christmas Cactus.
